Organizing events for foreign workers

Alkalom Eclat and Ministry of Manpower have been organizing events to be held at foreign worker dormitories around Singapore. Singapore life is challenging especially for the foreign workers who may not be aware of the rules and regulation formed by the Ministry of Manpower and the Singapore government.

Alkalom Eclat Pte Ltd is a Singapore Events company with experiences organizing events for many types of government and private organizations. This latest project allows the team to focus on the Singapore life and to lead a harmonious relationship between foreigners and locals. Most foreign workers helm from India, Bangladesh, China and Myanmar. They come with different expectations and ambitions but have similar goals; to earn a better living for their future.

Through interactive games and well-informed team ambassadors, the events are a huge success in bringing the education to the workers. The life is well illustrated through comic books, newsletters and brochures which are handed to the workers.

The keyword is patience and enjoying the way other cultures behave. The authorities are reaching out to the foreign works in Singapore. Workers generally look at Singapore to earn a living and send back monies they have earned back to their home countries. Sometimes, not realizing that taking on additional jobs or even taking part in illegal activities can lead to them losing their jobs. In worst cases, they get jailed and get deported never to return again!

Singapore is safe and the government’s efforts are not spared to ensure this security is always maintained for all.

Organizing events though not new to Alkalom Eclat, this latest challenge produces unique situation that not all would have been used to. We enjoy this privilege for being able to contribute to the well being of life.

Having already organizing 2 events, Tuas South Recreation Centre and at Kaki Bukit Recreation Centre, we look forward to the next venue.

Punggol Town Square with Singapore event consultant company to officiate the Opening Ceremony

We proud to be an event consultant company planned for HDB or Housing Development Board in Singapore is the government’s initiative to bring public housing to the masses. Public housing consists mainly tall high rise flats with varying sizes to meet the budget of most Singaporeans.

The Punggol Town Square aka The CUBE

The building was brought alive with the grand opening by the Deputy Prime Minister Mr Teo Chee Hean and other Singapore ministers. The planning for the grand opening was the brainchild of the appointed event consultant Alkalom Eclat Pte Ltd. HDB’s team of experts set out with the initial concept and Alkalom Eclat was selected to bring about the exhibition, interactive ideas and weeklong entertainment programs.

The event

At 8am sharp, the guest of honour, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, Teo Chee Hean, accompanied by other Singapore ministers, Dr Janil Puthucheary, Mr Ng Chee Meng and HDB’s CEO Cheong Koon Hean flagged off with a customized flag bearing the Punggol Town Square official logo amidst air horns blaring.

The mass walk consisted of 2 pit-stops where the participants had to build a giant jigsaw puzzle and another which had a life size cutout of an old SBS bus. The SBS bus had cutout holes where the participants could put their faces and it truly seemed as if they were in an actual BUS—BACK INTO THE FUTURE!

The “re-energize” zone constructed beside the stage with its recycled table tops was spread with drinks and snacks for the returning participants from the mass walk. Long queues were formed to organize the collection of these goodies and treats. Out of thin air it seemed; the roving jugglers, balloon twist artists, caricaturists appeared to entertain the visitors and guests. The venue seemed to become alive with all the action and this was definitely the beginning for more good things to come!

The spirit of Punggol Town Square continued for the rest of the week with more workshops and activities to excite and involve the huge number of daily visitors. The screening of the movie “Long Long Time Ago” saw hundreds defy the rain to enjoy a movie with their families and close ones.
